bah humbug...

A Christmas Carol directed by Robert Zemeckis (2009)

genre: Fantasy, adventure

rating: PG

honors: Blimp Award for favorite Voice from an Animated Movie—Jim Carrey (2010)

review: Based upon the Charles Dickens story of old Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge is a mean spirited man who has a low opinion of mankind and Christmas. But on Christmas Eve, he is visited by four ghosts that give him a night full of startling visions about his past, his present and the future as it could be if he doesn’t change his present.

opinion: There are movies that have some 3D effects, and then there are movies that are 3D extravaganzas… this is one of them, which seems odd, I know. Somehow it all works within the realm of the familiar story, and gives the {overly familiar} story more dimension and action than you’d imagine.

ideas: This is a great Christmas movie for those looking for something to watch with the whole family, but not one of those silly movies like Deck the Halls or Jingle All the Way.
